Hi and welcome! :D

And it's awesome that you listen to Elvis and a lot of the oldies <3
resurrexitdeusresurrexitdeus on April 28th, 2011 04:38 pm (UTC)
Thanks! I love oldies... my parents grew up listening to them and I did as well :) I love so many different types of music it's hard to list everything.
Is that oscar wilde as your pic? He rocks.
mr_deathdiemr_deathdie on April 28th, 2011 10:18 pm (UTC)
Yep, it's Wilde ^^

I grew up listening to a lot of that music because of my parents, too. But now I've been getting a lot more into ragtime and swing music XD;;

Awesome! My grandmother started sending me a lot of postcards of Wilde a while back and would sign them: your friend, Oscar... she thought it was funny (I just thought it was odd). I love ragtime... my dance teacher sometims plays Joplin when we have our "free time" before class when the little kids run around with scarves. Swing is really fun to dance to :)

XDD

I used to have XM Radio, so that was how I got into swing and ragtime. But, fortunately, there's a lot of stuff on YouTube :3

YouTube is the most ingenious thing ever invented!
I use it all the time for school projects (I'm a music major so it's really helpful in presentations instead of having to cary around tons of cds) and is so easy to use to find anything :)
I've never had xm radio... is it anything special? everybody talked about it a while ago, but nobody seems to mention it anymore.

XM was a satellite radio station that I used to get back when I still had Direct TV. It let me use the TV as a radio, and, even though the stations had DJs, they were commerical free. They were also able to play a lot music that wouldn't have been allowed on regular radio stations. It was nice, but I think YouTube has really eliminated the need for it-- YouTube just has such a greater variety :D
